What is BYOK?
Bring Your Own Key means you add your own API keys from AI providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. SpeedyAI then routes your chats through those keys directly. You pay the provider directly, not SpeedyAI.
Zero Platform Cost
When you use your own keys, SpeedyAI charges nothing. You pay only what the AI provider charges directly. No markup, no hidden fees, no token deductions from your SpeedyAI balance.
Encrypted & Secure
Your API keys are encrypted at rest and in transit. They're never logged, never exposed in responses, and never shared. Only your requests use them - nothing else.
Multiple Providers
SpeedyAI supports multiple BYOK providers including OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and more. Add keys from different providers and switch between models freely.
How to Set Up (3 Steps)
1. Get an API key from your preferred provider (e.g., OpenAI).
2. Go to Settings > BYOK in SpeedyAI and add your key.
3. Select your BYOK model in chat and start using it instantly.
Platform Models vs BYOK
Platform models use your SpeedyAI token balance. BYOK models bypass the balance entirely - you use your own provider account. Mix and match: use platform models for casual chat and BYOK for heavy workloads.
